If you think I've loved you all I can, I'm gonna love you a little bit more.

So, what did I get myself for B.J.'s birthday?  I got the new Madness box set - 'The Lot' [Virgin], natch.  Man, oh man.  All six albums remastered, and all 24 videos, too.  The interactive stuff is great, and the resolution of the videos is the best I've seen on an enhanced cd.  Looks great, sounds great, takes me back and makes me smile.  Only available as an import, but worth every goddamn penny (or pound, as the case may be).

I caught the last half of really weird "Rankin-Bass"-esque (not sure if it was theirs) thing about the origin of Santa Claus.  Man, was it disturbing.  There were no songs (which - yeah - could be a plus), and it focused this panel of "gods"(?) who were debating whether Claus, the man, should become immortal so he could continue delivering gifts.  Any help here?...

Hey, somebody remind Ringo that he was a FUCKING BEATLE.  Sweet Jesus, his new embarrassment (as if "Vertical Man" wasn't enough) is a Christmas abomination called "I Wanna Be Santa Claus".  How about "I Wanna Be Drunk Again Because You Would Forgive 'Ringo The 4th' If You Only Knew All The Great Drugs, Booze & Pussy I Was Getting At The Time...Even If You Paid Full Price And Didn't Take Advantage Of The MILLIONS Of Copies In Cut-Out Bins For Many Years To Come"

Man, do I love a home theater set-up.  I watched the Arizona Republican Candidate debate with the surround sound on, and I could hear the wind rushing through George W. Bush's head.  And the Republicans didn't want Quayle because?...
