LEEMail
I just had to let it go.

Okay, I didn't watch the John Lennon movie on NBC - although I should have.  If only for me to have some bile to spew about it.

I did watch that creepy mummy show on The Learning Channel, though.  Yikes.  That was some fucked up shit.  Car wreck television in that you couldn't look away, but really wanted to.  The guy who hosted it did a great job explaining why we were feeling uncomfortable looking a dead bodies, but all 'n all you had to be a truly twisted individual to really, truly enjoy that show.

What Women Want.  Well, I don't know, but I do know What Men Don't Want: Helen Hunt.  In the immortal words of Austin Powers "That's a man, baby!"  Have you read any of the interviews she's doing for this movie?  She is such an annoying (word that starts with a "c", rhymes with her last name and gets me tons of hate e-mail when I use it in LEEmail).  She's talentless, too.  An Oscar for that performance?  The only person who deserved recognition for As Good As It Gets was Greg Kinnear.  Did he even get nominated?  And Mad About You was a truly insipid and diarrhea-like show, made worse by her being such a bitch on it.  She really makes my skin crawl.  Why does she have a career?  Thank God, Hank Azaria got away from that rancid snatch.

Question Of The Week 1©:  Has Helen Hunt done anything of value?

Speaking of Favorites, check http://theleepage.homepage.com for my Best Of 2000 list this weekend...

The Song That Kicked My Ass On The Radio This Week©:  "Love Rollercoaster" - Red Hot Chili Peppers.  Great fuckin' cover, that is.  It's got enough balls to make it sound current, but it keeps the stone cold groove of the original.  Of course, you'd have to try real hard to destroy the groove inherent in the Ohio Players' version.

The Song That Confused Me On The Radio This Week©:  "Dream Weaver" - Gary Wright.  How did that song ever become a hit?  Man, that's a dated, bo-ring mother.  And "Love Is Alive" was a way better tune.  Anybody remember The Right Place record from the 80's?  I remember it fondly, but haven't heard it in many moons.

Kiss Me DeadLEE A Year Ago This Week©:
Shirley Hemphill, 52.  Actress (Shirley on "What's Happening"). December 10.
Joseph Heller, 76.  Author ("Catch-22") December 12.

And Colonel Klink died this week.  That means that he, Hogan and Schultz are all gone now.  At least Werner graced us with a Simpson's before we lost him.

Question Of The Week 2©:  Is Richard Dawson still alive?  (No fair doing research...)

Question Of The Week 3©:  What hit song makes you truly perplexed by the fact that it was a hit?
